Luis Fernando Pelàez

 

Luis Fernando Pelaez refers to his work as “Territories without Frontier” in which he turns the physical space into a spiritual energy filled to entertain the mysteries of “being”. He utilizes organic material, such as bronze, resin, iron, wood and aluminum, with profound respect for maintaining its natural state of color and texture. Luis Fernando Pelaez was born in Jerico, Colombia in 1945. His internationally acclaimed sculptures have been exhibited in installations throughout the Americas and Europe, including The Museum of Modern Art, Bogota; Museum of Contemporary Art, Sao Paulo; and The Museum of the Americas, Washington D.C.
